What is light therapy?

Red and infrared light therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation therapy, is a non-invasive treatment method that uses red and infrared light to promote pain relief.

  • Significant improvement in back pain after using Benilight device, Jerry L., 63

"After using the Benilight device for six weeks, I have experienced a remarkable improvement in my condition. My back pain, which used to be unbearable and limited my ability to stand up, has almost completely vanished. I feel much better now and can carry out my daily activities with greater ease and comfort. The Benilight device has made a positive impact on my life, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking relief from back pain."

  • Optimal performance through improved muscle recovery, Troy B., 37

"It’s a device I can use at home and helps whenever I want to with no extra cost (i.e., massage). It’s been great for sore muscles"

  • Foot inflammation eliminated and discomfort significantly reduced, Margareth F., 71

"For the past several months, I've been using my pad daily all over my body. It's helped with issues like repetitive strain injury in my shoulders and upper arms, arthritic pain, foot inflammation, backache, and muscle tension. The RSI is no longer a bother, foot inflammation is gone, and the other discomforts have lessened. Having my own device allows me to use it whenever necessary, providing effective drug-free relief that I truly appreciate!"

  • Improve Blood Circulation

Red light therapy stimulates the production of nitric oxide, a molecule that relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow. When red light is absorbed by cells, it enhances mitochondrial function, increases energy production, and promotes the release of nitric oxide, thereby enhancing circulation.

  • Enhance Cellular Function

Red light therapy improves cellular function by stimulating the mitochondria, which are the powerhouses of cells. When exposed to red light, mitochondria produce more adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy currency of cells. This increased energy production enhances cellular metabolism, promotes tissue repair, reduces oxidative stress, and supports overall cellular health and function.

  • Nerve Stimulation

Red light therapy enhances nerve stimulation by activating skin photoreceptors, which absorb red light and send signals to the brain and spinal cord. This reduces pain, promotes nerve regeneration, and improves overall nerve function. It also boosts the production of neurotrophic factors that support nerve cell growth and survival, further enhancing nerve stimulation and function.

  • Endorphin Release

Red light therapy improves endorphin release through various mechanisms. It stimulates the production and release of endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving and mood-enhancing chemicals in the body. Red light therapy also activates sensory nerve fibers that transmit signals to the brain, triggering the release of endorphins. The increased endorphin levels promote relaxation, reduce pain perception, and contribute to an overall sense of well-being and happiness.
